Dr. Theophanes Gaitanaros and his wife Doula were pioneers in the nursing home industry. With a vision of building a community that would enable seniors to age in place, they assembled a world class team of experts in healthcare, architecture, and every facet of senior living to develop Athenian Village, a retirement community combining state-of-the-art technology with the neighborliness of a small town. The Patrician, located within Athenian Village, is situated on thirty acres in North Royalton and offers a comprehensive continuum of skilled nursing care by utilizing an interdisciplinary team approach. Our services include 24 hour nursing care, wound care, rehabilitation services, ostomy care, dialysis management, diabetic care and education, IV Therapy/TPM, infectious disease management, tracheostomy care, post CVA management, post operative care, and a secured Alzheimer's dementia unit. We encourage the physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of our residents by promoting the quality of life and independence of each individual entrusted to our care.

Our campus includes independent condominium homes, assisted living, and our Grecian Garden apartments, beautifully landscaped parks, two lakes, and our Olympian Community Center. The Community Center features an indoor walking track, fitness area, game room, and an elegant restaurant-style dining room all under one roof. We'd like the community to know that the Olympian Community Center is available to the entire community, and has been designed to serve the needs of all age groups.

Our nursing and rehabilitation staffs, in addition to our on-site ambulance center, are comprised only of our own employees, with no outside agencies working in the facility. For our residents' convenience, we also provide services by local podiatrists, dentists, optometrists, audiologists, and social workers. We offer psychological services, counseling and emotional support, resident and family care conferences, church services, a beauty/barber shop, and many activities and social programs.

We show an uncommon devotion to the physical and emotional needs of not only our residents, but their families, as well. We encourage frequent visits from friends and neighbors, and strive to bring residents together, both in times of contentment and in times of need.
