Rich Sacha, a long time employee of Republic Steel's research and development division, was downsized during the merger of Republic Steel and J&L Steel under the LTD Steel umbrella in the early 1980s. Rich, who had started repairing cars before he was even old enough to drive them, decided it was time to enter the ranks of the self employed. He and his wife Jeannette founded Automotive Excellence Inc. in 1985, setting up shop in the industrial park in North Royalton. By 1995 the business had grown so much that Automotive Excellence Inc. moved into its present spacious location at 12950 York Delta Drive. We met with Rich recently, and listened as he described the company's services and offerings;

Automotive Excellence Inc. is a full-service automobile service center offering mechanical repairs, as well as collision and painting service. Our detailing department handles everything from detailing interiors, shampooing, and Scotchguarding, to full exterior detailing and polishing. We service automobiles, vans, and light trucks up to one ton in size which enables us to care for delivery and service vans, in addition to personal vans for the motoring public.

All of our technicians are certified in their areas of expertise, whether they're body-men, mechanics, or painters. I attribute our growth over the years to the efforts of these long-term employees. They've added so much value to our shop that now we're servicing second generation families who are used to seeing the same people here. Although we've been in business for barely twenty-one years, one of our employees will soon be celebrating his 20th anniversary with us. Our office is staffed by a damage appraiser, an administrator, my wife, and of course I'm always available for our customers, too.

It's important for people to know that they do not have to go back to the dealership for repairs, preventative maintenance done, or warranty work on their vehicle. These can all be done at any reputable service garage, as long as good records are kept, which we do. We're an American Automobile Association (AAA) Approved Auto Repair facility, both in our body shop and our service department. We're a NAPA Auto Care Center, and have won the Better Business Bureau's Torch Award in 2003 for our integrity.

We take pride in having a very clean shop and waiting room. Our back shop is as clean as our office. Jeannette hosts several Ladies Nights throughout the year, and our technicians put on presentations regarding auto safety and driving trips for parents and high school age student drivers.

We offer free customer shuttle service anywhere in the town of North Royalton, and we have twenty-four hour towing service available.
