Norman Andrysco entered the engraving trade right out of high school in 1952. Dissatisfied with how he saw engraving businesses handling their work, Norm felt he could do a better job, and founded Capitol Engraving Corporation in 1966 to prove it. In 1980 he moved to North Royalton and worked out of a little building located behind the family home. Needing more space for his growing business, Norm built a new building in 1992, and a new addition in 2003. We met with Norm recently, and listened as he outlined Capitol Engraving's products and services;

Capitol Engraving Corporation is a manufacturer of engraved items serving the needs of industrial, commercial, and individual customers. We engrave glass, wood, aluminum, copper, brass, steel, hard steel, plastic, and carbide, in addition to engraving images on metal plates and making name tags and nameplates. We manufacture, engrave, and heat treat dies to our customers' specifications, and are well known for our work with the fastener industry.

We use many different machines to do the jobs we need, including not only manual engraving machines, but also the latest computerized lathes, laser engravers, plastic printers, and C&C computerized mills. We've engraved letters as tall as ten inches on kick plates for doors, and we've done engravings as small as fifteen thousandths of an inch.

Due to the prestige and reputation we've earned in the engraving field, Capitol Engraving Corporation will some day be passed on to my sons Donald and Dave.
