In the early 1900s the present site of Mount Royal Villa Care Center was the summer home of a wealthy Ohio resident. The facility was transformed into a tuberculosis clinic in the 1930s, and into a nursing home in the 1950s. In March 2000, Mount Royal Villa Care Center was purchased by Tandem Health Care, operator of seventy-eight long-term care, assisted living, and independent living facilities throughout seven states. We met recently with Executive Director Matt Haynes, Director of Admissions Anthony Erlenbach, and Business Office Manager Geneva Prince, and listened as they offered this overview of the services provided by Mount Royal Villa Care Center;

Mount Royal Villa Care Center is a patient focused, outcomes driven skilled nursing facility situated "High on the Friendly Hill" in North Royalton, Ohio. We provide a wide range of services, including skilled care, short and long-term care, assisted living, and respite care, in addition to physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapy. Whether it's for a weekend, a few weeks, or on a permanent basis, we provide our residents with a comfortable and secure medical and social environment designed to give the family caregiver peace of mind.

Our staff is dedicated to compassionate, personalized care for each and every resident. Most of our residents are from the North Royalton area, and we take pride in being an active and lively part of the local community. We encourage interaction and socialization among residents by offering between five and ten activities on a daily basis. In addition, our residents are encouraged to continue to receive care from personal physicians with whom they've established relationships with prior to coming to Mount Royal Villa Care Center.
