Johnstone Supply, headquartered in Portland, Oregon, is a national co-operative consisting of over 300 independently owned member stores. The Cleveland store was opened in 1986, and in July 2005 moved to their new Spring Road location in Brooklyn Heights. We met recently with Regional Manager Brenda Woodring and Store Manager Ted Vancs, and listened as they offered this overview of Johnstone Supply's products and services;
Johnstone Supply is a wholesale only supplier to the HVAC, refrigeration, and property maintenance industries. We maintain an inventory of over 15,000 items, including electric motors, HVAC equipment, controls and hydronics, pumps, tools, test instruments,and maintenance supplies, in addition to many more non-catalog items. Weekly shipments from our central distribution center in Allentown, PA, as well as daily shipments from our vendors, enable us to maintain product levels to meet your needs. Our in-house repair shop has become your one-stop source for all electric motor and pump parts and repair needs.
We carry everything you need to keep your HVAC customers comfortable and happy with furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and replacement parts, as well as a full line of sheet metal products and controls to handle your installation needs. We stock a large selection of condensing units, compressors, walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, controls and parts, in addition to a large inventory of pneumatic, hydronic, and HVAC/R controls from trusted manufacturers.
Our product line includes many types of pumps and pump accessories, a full range of filters, ventilators, and air quality control parts. We carry a wide selection of plumbing supplies and fittings including aluminum, vinyl, and copper tubing, brass, copper, black, and nylon fittings, and PVC pipes and fittings. We also carry a wide selection of construction adhesives, cleaning chemicals, fasteners, caulking, fire extinguishers, and hoses to help you keep everything running in perfect order.
Johnstone Supply's Motor and Pump Repair Shop is staffed by George Longcoy and Bob Allen, who have over fifty combined years of motor and pump experience. From technical advice to sales and repair of the largest integral horsepower electric motors, George and Bob are available to serve all your motor and pump needs. The typical lead-time for repair depends upon the current workload in our shop, although standard turnaround is usually one to two days for motors and two to three days for pumps plus any applicable shipping time. In emergency situations, we strive to make the repair on-the-spot or at least offer a one day turnaround.
We have grown from three to eleven employees over the past twenty years by making sure our friendly, knowledgeable staff are always ready to assist you with your needs. We take pride in shipping every order received before 3:00 pm the same day, and employ state-of-the-art technology to achieve this accurately and efficiently.
