After graduating from Case Western Reserve Dental School in 1956 and serving two years in Alaska as an Air Force dentist, William G. Schmidt, D.D.S. opened a practice in the small town of North Royalton, Ohio. In 1964, he moved to his new building at 7029 Royalton Road, the practice's current location. Dr. Schmidt and his wife moved to this quiet town shortly after to raise their six children. His twin sons, Tom and Bill, admired their father's dedication to and relationship with his patients and pursued careers careers in dentistry themselves.

Upon graduation from C.W.R.U. Dental School in 1986, Dr. Tom and Dr. Bill began to practice alongside their fathers and started Schmidt Family Dentistry. We met recently with Dr. Thomas E. Schmidt, and listened as he provided this overview of the practice;

Schmidt Family Dentistry is a genera dental practice offering a wide range of services. Our emphasis is on the prevention of dental diseases and the restoration of teeth to their optimum function and cosmetic potential. We rely on our dedicated and caring staff, many of whom have been with us for over a decade, to create an easy-going, friendly, and efficient office.

Our office works to keep up with technological advances in dentistry. We now utilize the latest Cerec Cad/Cam technology to create beautiful all-porcelain crowns and onlays. These restorations most closely duplicate a tooth's natural enamel, while enabling our patients to receive their crowns in only one visit.

We are all members of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Cleveland Dental Association. I'm also a member of the Ohio Academy of Interdisciplinary Dental Therapy. This group is comprised of dedicated general dentists and specialists in the Cleveland area who met regularly to share their knowledge of orthodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery in the treatment planning of more complex dental problems.

Our father taught us long ago that the key to success was to not only strive for excellent service each day, but to treat each patient fairly and honestly. This philosophy has gained us the support of many loyal patients.
